Shopping event at
Jules Allen's Santa
Monica-based store benefiting Blue Heron with 20% from all sales of
the day. Jules Allen's cashmere sweaters and scarves for women and
children can be found at major department stores
nationwide. Raised $2,600.

– Brasov and Iasi, ROMANIA
Blue Heron
Foundation President Stefania Magidson, Vice-President Mike Costache,
and Advisory Board Member Silvian Centiu conducted interviews with
62 students from the counties of Bacau, Brasov, Iasi, Prahova, Sibiu, and Suceava as
part of the selection process for the 26 Blue Heron Scholars for the
2005-2006 school year.

Stefania Magidson
spoke to the students of Carlthorp School, thanking Girl Scout Troup
171 for raising $450 for Blue Heron Foundation’s “Loving Arms”
program. The money paid for almost 500 hours of caregivers’ time
holding and cuddling babies.

Rupea, Brasov, ROMANIA
Inauguration of the
Rupea Playground and Sports Court in Rupea (Brasov County),
Romania. Blue Heron Foundation President Stefania Magidson,
Vice-President Mike Costache, and over 50 local officials and
members of the press were present.
June 2004 -
Carlthorp School, Santa Monica
Stefania Magidson
thanked Girl Scout Troup 171 for raising $450 by baking and selling
cookies at the school fair. This money was donated to Blue Heron
Foundation to be used for the “Loving Arms” program.
May 16,
2004 – Los Angeles
Approximately 300
guests, sponsors, celebrities, and elected officials came together
to support Blue Heron Foundation’s fundraiser, which included a
sit-down lunch, fashion show and silent auction. Among the guests
present were the Honorable Claudiu Lucaci, Romanian Consul General
in Los Angeles, abstract artist Alexandra Nechita, and fashion
critic Steven Cojocaru.
Honoree: Anastasia
Soare, President of Anastasia Salon in Beverly Hills, received the
Forget-Me-Not Humanitarian Award for outstanding contribution and
endless efforts to better the lives of abandoned children in
Romania.

Blue Heron
Foundation’s founder, Stefania Magidson, was special guest and spoke
about the plight of Romania’s abandoned children at the Romanian
National Day hosted by the Consulate of Romania in Los Angeles.
